Comparing both systems

In a young eye, when scattered light on the retina does not exist, MTF provided by OQAS™ or by Hartmann-Shack sensor is similar.

In a young eye with IOL, when some scattered light on the retina exists, MTF provided by OQAS™ is lower than MTF provided by Hartmann-Shack. The Hartmann-Shack sensor overestimates the MTF.

In an old eye, when there is a high level of scattered light on the retina, MTF provided by OQAS™ is clearly lower than MTF provided by Hartmann-Shack. The Hartmann-Shack sensor overestimates the MTF.
