In this short video Greg Parkurst, MD FACS, explains how he uses the HD Analyzer to deliver on his promise to patients of “great vision, with no glasses or contacts.” Not only does the objective assessment of the HD Analyzer provide him with more diagnostic data to make treatment decisions, it has proven a valuable tool to help educate patients about their vision.
Dr. Parkhurst uses the HD Analyzer to better explain the complex eye conditions–presbyopia, dysfunctional lens syndrome, cataract–underlying patient vision problems. Often post-Lasik patients mistakenly believe that a decline in their vision is due to the Lasik ‘wearing off’. Using the HD Analyzer’s report to educate patients about their visual quality, he’s able to bust this common myth and clearly illustrate to patients the kind of vision results they can expect from the different procedures available to them.
Watch the video embedded below to hear how the HD Analyzer has helped Dr. Parkhurst identify lenticular changes at the earliest stages, and why he now makes this exam a standard part of all his patient workups.
